Flanax Forte is one of many trade names under Naproxen.

Naproxen is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (N-SAID) that is used for the reduction of moderate to severe pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness. It works by inhibiting both the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes.

As an adverse effect, Naproxen can inhibit the excretion of sodium and lithium.
