Fentanyl Pain Patch Acetaminophen

I just got blood test results showing elevated liver ensymes. I take percodan 10/325 3xday. I also take fentanyl patch 25 every 48 hours. What meds could replace these in reguards to the elevated liver enzymes ?

The elevated enzymes are most likely caused by the oral medication, not the patch, since it isn't processed directly through the liver.

There are formulations of Oxycodone available without anything else added that your doctor can prescribe, so it won't have as much of an impact on your liver as the Percodan does.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

How high are your enzymes levels?

My alt is 46 and ast is 57. Also my dr has found a spot on my liver. could that also be from the percocet ? Thanks

Hi, This happened to me also and I went through all kinds of labs ect.. And finally had a liver biopsy only to find out it was only a fatty liver.. Don't get nervous about things but make sure your doctor finds the reason for the changes. My Liver specialist told me that fatty liver is very common and I should not take Tylenol or anything containing accetomitophin, or anti inflammatory meds. I pray you can get all the info you need...
