If you are using Afrin, make sure to dilute it with DISTILLED WATER and not regular tap or bottle water. Distilled water is sterile and is what we use at the hospital for compounds requiring water. You would dilute it in a 1:1 ratio. I am a pharmacist.

I have used the LR for years and nothing compares...I'm going to try to pursue the occuclear. I know when this happened back in 2011 that I was able to access the LR for a decent price through the Canadian Pharmacy on-line as well.

So what would happen to your eyes if you didn't cut it in half to reduce the amount of Oxymetazoline in the Afrin nose spray from 0.5% to 0.25%?

Simply empty out one of the eye drop bottles you bought that didn't work, rinse it out, pour HALF a bottle of the AFRIN into it and half purified water. Shake it up. Works like Visine LR. Again, I make no representations on safety but it appears to be same stuff and works same for me . ONE bottle AFRIN makes TWO bottles eye drops. Since Afrin is 5% OXY, and Visine LR was 2.5% I cut in half.

I think because I am the original petitioner on these petitions, Johnson and Johnson
is reluctant to tell me anything. Nevertheless, we keep trying!

Thanks, I signed your petition. I spoke with Visine Customer Care today and was told there was a problem with manufacturer and are currently working on a new formula, whatever that means. Was not informed as to what the problem was with the original product. I am on a list to be notified as to when this new product becomes available. HA.....wonder how many years that is going to take.

I've been using Visine L.R. for years. Few years back they pulled it from the shelves and later repackaged it, and it became Long Lasting verses Lasting Relief. There's nothing I haven't tried, even the replacement Totality sets my eyes on fire. Please help =(
