Etoshine contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, this is a COX-2 Selective Inhibitor, used to treat pain and inflammation.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation.

I am suffering from psoriasis(val.) for the last 16 years. It comes and goes frequently and is followed by arthritis. I am on homeopathic medicines but the Doctor has advised me to take Etoshine 60 in case of acute pain. I was a habitual drinker and used to take about 180 ml. daily but for the last 6-7 years I take drinks once a week. All my reports are normal except uric acid which is slightly on the higher side for which I take febustat 40 almost daily. We have a family history of gout/arthritis which affected me for the first time while I was 40 yrs.old i.e in 1991. My DOB is Sept.1952. I am otherwise vegetarian but off and on (say fortnightly) eat a small quantity of chicken or fried fist (only during winters). I am a resident of India (Chandigarh) but come to USA to stay with my son for about six months from mid June to end Nov. since 2010. My liver function test are well within limits and I have no proble. Kindly advise if I may continue with Etoshine 60 (alternate day) plus 150-180 ml. of drinks weekly or else.
