ESR stands for erythrocyte sedimentation rate and it indirectly measures how much inflammation is present in your body, as explained by the NIH.
And yes, the 94 is very high. Generally, in men, normal is 15mm/hr if they are under 50 and 20mm/hr if they are over 50.
Abnormal results may signify several medical conditions, including cancer, anemia, kidney disease and thyroid diseases.
