You shouldn't stop the insulin, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. It is very important to keep your blood sugar under control, letting it get out of control can be very dangerous and possibly life-threatening, according to the AMA.

Why do you want to stop the insulin?

I am not sure what other medications are available for you that would be safe for you to take. Have you discussed it with your doctor?
