Hello, Renee! How are you doing?
Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, a general practitioner won't prescribe controlled substances, except in very rare instances, such as when a person has intractable pain from a possibly fatal condition, such as stage 4 cancer.
Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easies way to find the help you need.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
