According to the FDA, Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

And no, it shouldn't cause weight gain or hair loss in most people that take it.

However, long-term use of it can cause fluid retention, which may result in fluid weight gain.

There is a chance that it may be fluid retention, so you should have this checked out by your respective doctors.

NSAIDS can cause that as a side effect in some people that take it.

I have gained weight and lost a lot of hair on this stuff. Also, blood pressure is higher and lm now tired all the time. This is the only medicine I've taken. I just stopped it. Too many side effects for me.
