Dolo Neurobion Retard

What is the difference between Dolo Neurobion Forte and Dolo Neurobion Retard? And, can it be purchased in the U.S. either over the counter or by prescription? My husband has had terrible knee pain and until he can get into the doctor a friend gave him one of the Dolo Neurobion Retard to which he said "made my pain 200% better than it was before taking it". I cannot find anywhere on the internet stating that it can be purchased here in the U.S.? Thank you for any help you can provide!

Both contain a complex of b vitamins and Diclofenac, just different dosages, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that requires a prescription in the U.S. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. That's why you can't find it here, the FDA doesn't allow such combinations here.

I have taken one Doloneurobin Retard daily in the mornings and one Pregabalina 75mg at night for Spinal Stenosis pain - successfully - for months. I've been advised to have kidney tests every few months, since there's a chance that my kidneys, in time, might be affected. Could the medication be "blamed" for my weight gain? Up 15 lbs, don't know why.

I have experienced no bad side effects at all and the pain has been gone for over three months. I do still have a slight numbing in my left foot - no problem. I live in Mexico where I can buy the med over-the-counter. It takes the med a few weeks to "kick-in" as it's an accumulative drug. Fortunately for me, it became effective a week before I was scheduled for back surgery, which my surgeon has cancelled indefinitely, subject to change.
