Hi Patricia. Sorry to hear about what happened. Judging from Verwon's previous response, I'm under the shared impression that your dog should be alright. However, it never hurts to contact a veterinarian just to acquire some sense of closure on the topic. Even though Azithromycin is reportedly approved for veterinary use in dogs, the 250mg dosage may or may not have been suitable for your dog's weight.

My Jack Russell ate my husband's Azithromycin 250 mg pill. Will she be alright?

Azithromycin is used to treat canines, as well as people, so there is most likely nothing to worry about, but it would be best to check with your veterinarian.

He may experience some side effects from it, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, drowsiness and diarrhea.
