Does Tramadol Have Side Effects Such As More Energy

I'm taking tramadol for stomach pain and I have since become addicted to it I find that when I take tramadol I have more energy and become cheercheerful. I try to keep it at a minimum of 2=50mg tab maybe 2-3 x a week. but I am in pain so..

These types of medications can have that type of an effect on some people that take them and it is one of the reasons that some people end up addicted to them.

Have you consulted your doctor? This is really not a good, or safe place to be and you do need to do something about it.

I have been on tramadol for 4mths only and takn 4 50mg aday. This drug is highly addictive and the withdrawals are horrific when you come off them. So yes they do have side effects as in making you feel more energetic when on them but getting off them has def more side effects i wouldnt touch these pills again. Im only on day 1 withdrawal and no its going to take another couple of days to start feeling human again....stay away from these if you can they not worth it!!!!

I've been addicted to tramadol for years now. Though I only take 3 50mg tabs per day I feel like dying as soon as I run out. I feel like I have a terrible flu , weakness, and sweaty hands. When I began taking tramadol in 2007 it was not yet considered to be a narcotic. I didn't realize my addiction until after a few months. I jump through whoops to get it and have tried to ween myself off but no sucess. I feel imprisoned.

I took Tramadol for kidney stones and I had a similar experience. More energy, cheerful, able to talk to my neighbors vs avoid eye contact, able to focus on work vs procrastinating and no longer thought of things in a negative/anxious manner. I took on a large project for my IT business that I would have otherwise turned away out of fear of failure. The knot in my stomach which I fought with every day was finally gone and I was the person I always wanted to be. Tramadol has an off label use for people suffering from anxiety. The way I see this is that I have had to take Asthma medication since I was 4 years old because my lungs/immune system don't work they they should. If Tramadol can help me in other areas I will take it vs living with the problems I have had. I took it for 3 months straight and when the prescription ran out I stopped cold turkey with zero withdrawal symptoms.

Tramadol has a warning that it should NOT be taken by anyone with a breathing problem. Especially, seniors. So my Doctor decided I should get off my daily regimen of 1/2 Vicodin tablet a day, and take Tramadol instead??? I am 80 years old, with COPD. I live in Oregon where it's fine to kill myself, but wrong to take a half a Vicodin.
