I am prescribed roxicodone 30mg, 4 a day. I have been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 12 yrs. The pain medication works really well, but I guess my body has got immune to it and they dont seem to last as long. He doesnt want to increase the amount but they do not last the whole month. I have been obtaining a few percocets to get me through. My question is, when they drug test me to make sure I'm taking my meds, will the percocet show up the same as the roxy or should I quit taking it? I cant afford to lose my script but I also need to get out of bed and get things done. Any help would be appreciated, thanx

If I am prescribed Percocet 10/325 and take Oxycodone 5mg time release, will it come up as the same thing as Percocet, if you take a Tylenol 325 with it?

They show up as the same Roxy's are the same thing as Percocet just without the Tylenol in it

So, if I understand you correctly, Percocet will show up differently as Oxycodone? My lab takes a UA and runs it through a "computer" machine. It doesn't use strips. When I took a home test 15 strip, it showed up positive for opiods and positive for Oxy. When I quit taking the Percocet, it just showed my Oxy on the home test.

Got to go to doctor for pee test am prescibe hydros and I took a few perks will it show up in my pee test???? They don't send it off to lab. They just do it in the doctors office.

Been on oxcodone-APAP for about à month..... go in doctor and have done 3and urine test that get sent in lab and doctor contacts me and tells me all 3 are negative.... my xanex shows up but not the oxycodone so now she doesnt want to prescribe me anyto more pain medicine !!! I have even took them in front of her and test was still was negative... please help

If you eat any burgers with sesame seeds on the bun it can show up that you took morphine a false/positive once it goes to the lab! It happened to me! Look it up in Google and it will tell you yes it will! Very wierd! Hope this helps their are several other things too ask google what can make you show up positive for morphine? Like eat or take and it will give you a list! Thanks! Emily

Actually okcgirl you can get false positives from poppy seeds. Will show up on standard urine test as morphine, however more in depth testing at a lab can differentiate between actual morphine and poppy seeds.

Only take the medication you are prescribed and only medicate as directed. The two drugs have different opiate base so they synthesize differently in the kidneys. It all depends on the type of drug test used and the NG cut off. The opiate base in oxycotin and oxycodone are so similar it is common to have a false positive for either drug. Hydrocodone is also common to bring up a false positive for oxycotin, but not oxycodone hydrochloride. The only true way to determine which drug is which is by lab testing if you test positive it will go to a lab for further testing. Codeine will also synthesize to its purest form in the kidney which is morphine. Which making an accurate positive for morphine even if you had taken only codeine. However the lab will only test for the drugs identified on the original test. If its a standard test opiate coc meth amph marijun they will find any drug with an opiate base synthetic or not. Most test now have 10 panel that break down by the opiated base. So if you take hydrocodone and you get a positive for oxycotin they will only check for oxycotin. If its a lab initially they will only check for the drugs that should be in your system and the level. If its a multiple panel test to check for other drugs also you,will have some splaining to do. There is different chemical make up for oxycodone and Percocet even though oxycodone is the generic version. Panel test will not make a difference but lab test will

Yes, unfortunately they will show up as different drugs, on a UA. It will show positive for Morphine and also positive for oxy, for the percocets if they aren't out of your system, in time for the UA.
