Does Hydrocodone5/300 Contain Tylenol

I'm taking hydrocodon-APAP 5/300MG
How much Tylenol does this contain? I was told by nurse at hospital to take Tylenol between doses. Is it ok to take this medication for along period of time SAY 3 to 4 weeks

Dear Don, this medication contains 300 mg. of Tylenol. Yes it's ok 2 take Tylenol in between. Hope this helps. Any other??? Feel free 2 ask and I will try 2 help.

Hi Don,

It might surprise you, but an astronomical number of patients dealing with chronic pain are actually prescribed these types of medications for considerably longer periods of time. I"ve read about a few people on here being on even stronger narcotics than this for 10 to 20 years like it was nothing.

It's certainly not the best way to go in my opinion, but some of the dirty doctors out there really don't care how much they give their patients as long as they get paid. If you're really concerned about the level of toxicity associated with Acetaminophen, I'd recommend having your liver checked out periodically during the coarse of treatment. But all-in-all ...from what I've seen and read, I think most people tend to tolerate this medication better than others on a short term basis.

Yes I had a surgery and I was prescribed this medication with no refills. Bit I always heard not to take a lot of tylonal because bad for liver. I was always prescribed vicadon but not this med. (hydrocodon-APAP5/300MG)
