Does Baclofen Make You Really Sleepy The Next Day

I have only been taking Baclofen for about a week at a really low dose (10-15 mg. a day). I've been experiencing really disturbing "nods" while driving. I mean like, checking out, suddenly, unable to not drift off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello, Beth! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

That is listed as a known side effect of this medication in some people that take it, that's usually why you're advised not to drive, until you see how it affects you, so you won't be nodding off or getting dizzy while driving.

Other side effects as listed by the FDA may possibly include nausea, headache and dry mouth.

It may be best to speak to your doctor about trying a different muscle relaxant.

No, thanks. It was a very strange kind of thing. I was just checking out while driving. Figured itt had to be the baclofen, so have d/c'd it.

I am on high dose Baclofen (200mg+ pd). It definitely makes me very sleepy especially about 10 to 40 mins after a dose. Then I suddenly wake up feeling fine until I have to take the next dose.
