Does Anyone Know If Cvs Reports A Different Narcotic Prescribed

I recd a narcotic by dct's recommendation for migraines but forgot to tell my pain mng dct bc I haven't taken it. Will cvs report to my pain mng if they recd a 2nd narcotic called in? Am I in trouble?

It isn't the pharmacy that does any reporting to anyone, it is actually the government, they keep track of all narcotic prescriptions. If they have reason to question why one narcotic was prescribed, when you already had something else, then they can and will get in touch with your doctors to check.

I think your best bet in this situation is to honestly report it to your pain management doctor. Tell then you haven't taken it and let them check the number of pills in the bottle, if need be.

They also may wish to run a drug test for further proof.
