I am having a hard time finding a dr in staten island NY. Even after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 3years ago& being prescribed oxycontin for almost 2 years my dr has moved his practice& no other doctors are willing to help me the same way my last doc was now with him not around& me off the meds I was on for so long my pain from MS has progressed I do have all mri's& documents that state I do have MS. Can I be helped??

I have had the same experience. they don't seem to have any understanding of MS pain. It makes you suicidal. Dr.'s suck anymore.

I have the same problem. I also live in San Bernardino County. I have Lupus, MS, and a malt lymphoma like yourself. I have been to Loma Linda, and a pain specialist Dr. Germanovich. They treat me like a drug addict. I am 63, was on narcotics for pain for years. I worked, lead a productive life and had no problems. I probably won't be around many more years, and would like some quality of life before I go. I can't find anyone to help me either. They want to do invasive procedures that are more dangerous than narcotics, and when I say no, they refuse to treat me. If anyone knows of a compassionate Dr. in this area please tell us.

Thank you. My PM Dr has put me on a synthetic morphine patch. He refused to give me anything for breakthrough pain. Getting the patch was like pulling teeth. He was very argumentative and treated me like a drug addict. It was a traumatic experience. I got the feeling that he had no experience with MS patients, who have various types of pain, at different times. I was literally suicidal when I got there and when I left. Why won't doctors listen to their patients anymore?

Did you try a methadone program? Its easier than getting a PM doctor to prescribe it.

I'm having trouble finding a doc to prescribe Percocet. I usually get 90 tabs. I'm not an addict but suffer from constant debilitating pain in my leg, foot. Hop and back crushed I. Car accident.

Anyone know of Doctors in or around Modesto Ca that will prescribe pain medicine and medical marijuana immediately and long term? Surgeon relocated and I'm 3 surgeries in and have at least 1 more. I have a 3-6 month wait before next surgery. Primary care is in another world and is not keeping his oath or following the HIPPA guidelines. Did I mention Dr's work for same practice and do not treat patients equally or work together at all. Oh and with my complications my surgeon seen me every 5 days for 6 weeks before leaving and my Dr would not see me until my surgeon left and it all went sour. The only person affected mentally and physically is me and I need a doctor that cares as my surgeon did

I also have MS and Systemic Lupus. I have congenital scoliosis and degenerative disk disease. I have severe parethesias, severe restless leg syndrome, myoclonic leg and back spasms, and more. Saw a so-called pain specialist at Loma Linda U. hospital. He offered me anti-depressants to control pain and spinal injections. Anyone who has any experience with MS or Vasculitis from lupus would know that this will not solve pain from vascular problems or nerve pain from MS. I had told them that I had been on morphine for pain for years with no problems. That was the only thing that controlled my pain so that I could work etc. When the FDA came out with new "guidelines" for prescribing pain meds. nobody would prescribe it anymore. The Dr. refused saying that they do not prescribe narcotics. I am 63, been chronically ill for years and years. I have a malt lymphoma. What the hell?!! Are they going to cure me? Anyone who knows a good pain DR. that will prescribe narcotis in San Bernardino County, CA, Please let me know!

My Dr has dismissed me for unforseen circumstances I have deteriating back disease I hurt everyday he was giving me tramadol Cuz he wouldn't give me any. Stronger just need something that will they want to surgery please let me no if I can come there I'm in haywood county.

Try Dr.Dominic Pompa on Staten Island he might help you. If not Dr.Zenetos in Astoria Queens. Pompa is a primary care and Zenetos is pain management.
