Doctors Willing To Prescribe Oxycodone In Phoenix (Page 2)

Please please please someone direct me to a doctor who will listen and prescribe the amount of oxycodone my son needs. Pain management clinics are a joke and fall short of what we know will keep him comfortable until they can do the therapy or procedures that may be able to get him out of pain so he doesn't have to take it. He only needs 60 mg a day in 4 15 mg doses. That is what we've found works and makes it so he doesn't get sick from the meds and is out of the considerable pain he is in. He can't work because they won't give him enough to function. I have spent so much money I dont have to take care of him! He has Ahccs healthcare coverage! They only give him 3 10mg pills a day which falls short of the care he needs and is in so much pain. I am at my wits end! We are in Gilbert Arizona and need a doctor who will listen to the patient so we can pursue the other surgical and therapy options! He has a degenerative disc problem.

Thank you David!!!
I am going to get out my paperwork if anyone nerds another pain clinic in Az. I just couldn't afford it. Decent prescriptions as long as one has valid documents and info.

Yes, we all are going to continue to suffer even more come the 1st of the year. Here in Phoenix area if you were blessed to have found a doctor to work with you at a Pain Clinic level your insurance company put new guild lines into effect in Jan especially if you have a Medicare Advantage plan. So much for making sure the elderly were going to be pain free. They have put quantity limits at low levels, moved them to different tiers so you can't afford the copay and now Doctors have to send more letters as to why you have to even have the meds even if they are the ones the said yes he's a doctor you can go to. Since the last 3 years I've gone through all the blocks and ablasions he's required I'm just about done with him. Even tho my chronic pain syndrome is the same and will always be with me the doctors are tired of jumping through all of the hoops the insurance companies are requiring of them. His game plan for me the first of the year is to get me off of the pain med's and go with a pain simulator which I will not do. So my only alternative will be to be zoned out on a Medical Mary Jane card and drift away. Problem is I can't afford that either. Merry xmas and a Happy New Year to all...
Hi all. I'm in Phoenix, Az. If anyone has a pain mgmt doctor to share, I will exchange info with you. I couldn't afford cash payments or I would go myself. Thanks!

Re: Irwin (# 13)
Hello, would you mind sharing your doctors bame? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Re: Chuck (# 8)
Do you still have this doctors list available? If so please let me know. Thank you
Re: Cece (# 125)
your doctor is probably in jail. I doubt that you can get anything close to that since the policy now is 90mg MME. That means 90 mgs of Morphine or Morphine equivalent. Oxycodone is 1.5 times for the equivalent. Example 10 mgs of oxycodone equals 15mgs of Morphine.
Re: J2thaZ (# 4)

Re: Kens (# 98)
A lot of people asked for a doctor who will prescribe pain medicine that they need and you post that if someone give you a doctor you share your doctor I don't think that's right if you can help someone with a doctor help them don't make it a trade-off.
Re: Chuck (# 8)
Can I get the info to those docs? I was just discharged from my doc and need a new one asap.

Re: Chuck (# 8)
Please let me know. I've been getting 120 30 mg oxycodone for a decade for spinal stenosis and osteomyelitis. My doctor retired and the new Doctor said I have a habit.
Re: J2thaZ (# 4)
Hi, my name is David. I never went seeking any medications.i have spinal stenosis and osteomyelitis. Thoracic and lumbar region. Have been prescribed oxycodone 30 mg 120 ct monthly. My doctor retired and the doctor that bought his files did no bother to look at the MRI report or the Arthritis doctors findings that were all updated in September 2016. He told me after a decade I had a habit and he would not write. I am scared because I will be unable to work and do not have insurance to find a new Doctor that may say the same thing. I have tried Effexor and NSAIDs which are found to cause strokes and heart attacks. Any suggestions?
Hello. I feel his pain. I'm on AHCCCS myself on Mercy Care Plan and my back has stonisis, rediclapothy, degenerative spine disease, narrowing of my nerve pathways and a few other items such as bulging discs to fractures in my spine. I injured myself by lifting something twice my weight above my head to complete a job that I was supposed to do at work. I immediately called my boss since I could not move. The customer saw everything happen and even with her sworn testimony Workmen's Comp. blew me off. I have been granted SSDI by one of the hardest judges in Phoenix to get approval from. All pain clinics I've been to are jokes - they think your drug addicts and just want more and more. I'm 5'8" / 190 lbs. I have been on medicine since 2013 until they can figure out something to help me alleviate the pain. I have had several different treatments from steroid shots or transdermal roots leaving directions, nerve root oblations, and stimulators. I have been to many physical therapies but yet my back gets worse. They have cut my medicine to where I could not even do anything as my quality of life went to heck, until the CDC came up with the new rules on May 1st of 90 MME, which if you were on any type of oxycodone or OxyContin, times it by 1.5 and that will give you the MME you're on. They do not allow any more than 90 unless your doctor writes a letter which is a very brief letter of why you need more and your insurance company if you have any which I have access to Arizona Mercy care plan and they told me to have the doctor fill out the paperwork & to put 'urgent' on the paperwork. There are medical staff reviewing my medical charts which I've had nine MRIs now on my complete spine. I've had EMGs done and many other evaluations so they would approve it immediately to increase my levels I was taking at the time.
I was perfect at 20 mg oxycodone a day and 30 mg Oxycontin 3x a day. Yes it might sound like a lot, but if you knew what I was on before you'd think that was a joke. It would be like taking two aspirin. On May 1, 2017 the CDC got involved. The main reason why is for doctors that were prescribing medicines that were not needed for the patients because they would find them on the streets and they were getting out of hand. There were three doctors that were incarcerated about a month and a half ago for putting $33 million of illegal narcotics out on the street through some of their patients here in Phoenix. So now due to that we all have to suffer for the people that really need them. I was able to lower myself down to a manageable amount to where I would take 10 mg oxycodone's four times a day and 30 mg which I needed a third one and the doctor would not give me anymore. All the pain management clinic said was that I'm way overdoing it even though they stated it six months ago we would've given you whatever you needed. Again all they have to do is fill out simple forms to explain why your son or anybody that does really need them, why they need more than what they are getting. The doctors know all about it but they just don't want to fill out the extra paperwork. They'd have to do it every three months and it takes about 20 minutes every three months. CDC issued new recommendations for prescribing opioid medications for chronic pain, excluding cancer, palliative, and end-of-life care. LOOK IT UP AND CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. PLEASE. We all have to suffer for the people that abuse it and the doctors that abused prescribing them to patients.
Re: Irwin (# 13)
I'm looking for a good pain relief specialist and saw your post. I too suffer from a lot of pain.
Re: Elderly abuse (# 108)
Try The Pain Centers of Arizona they will prescribe 10 mgs if you have a legitimate pain problem that has in the past been documented. But they don't prescribe high doses just enough to help. Right now they are helping me, of course that could change with all that is going on.
I am a 43 year old woman who is always in pain due to 20 years of diabetes nd a active history of valley fever. My back and lungs hurt constantly and I've een out of my 30's for a few months now because my doctor doesnt prescribe them anymore.I pay out of pocket for my doctor and my meds.Does anyone know where I can find a doctor who still prevides them.I'm lways in so much pain.
