Doctors Willing To Prescribe Oxycodone In Phoenix (Page 6)

Updated

Please please please someone direct me to a doctor who will listen and prescribe the amount of oxycodone my son needs. Pain management clinics are a joke and fall short of what we know will keep him comfortable until they can do the therapy or procedures that may be able to get him out of pain so he doesn't have to take it. He only needs 60 mg a day in 4 15 mg doses. That is what we've found works and makes it so he doesn't get sick from the meds and is out of the considerable pain he is in. He can't work because they won't give him enough to function. I have spent so much money I dont have to take care of him! He has Ahccs healthcare coverage! They only give him 3 10mg pills a day which falls short of the care he needs and is in so much pain. I am at my wits end! We are in Gilbert Arizona and need a doctor who will listen to the patient so we can pursue the other surgical and therapy options! He has a degenerative disc problem.

Dr. Chamberlain in Mesa off Power and Brown. Go to his NP. I think his name is Brian. He is the only NP under Chamberlain. They are getting strict. One person was just fired as a patient due to having a clean drug panel. They do make you sign a contract but its not a pain clinic thank god. Do not see any other doctor in the office no matter what as they are terrible. See his Nurse Practitioner only.

How did oxytocin help? Also, in the state of Arizona, fibromyalgia is generally frowned upon by providers. Terrible but true. That usually goes away with weight loss, healthy food, increased activity and less narcotics. My suggestion is find a doctor closer to the Mexican border. A doctor who has a small practice and isn't being watchdogged by their peers. Focus on your wish to improve your situation and not rely on meds. Discuss how you prefer the benefits of MJ..but sadly need opiates for now. Sometimes you have to be willing to drive far for a doctor who isn't afraid of the government choke hold on his license. Try finding an NP... they can be more understanding of your needs. Try the NP at Chamberlain office in Mesa off power and brown..I said in an earlier post his name was Brian but I was wrong and checked my phone..his name is Eric the NP. Only see him..or you'll be left hanging

I was going to the same pain management for ten years until everything changed. I moved here from Utah about 10 years ago and my dr. there referred me to a dr. she went to school with which happened to be for cancer patients. She took me even though I didn't have cancer but tumors and a long story about that. I have a nerve stimulator too. They got everyone that wasn't a cancer patient out abd I found another place that was such a scam, $650 office visit, all kinds of blocks they want to do. A u a was over $400. They made you go by monthly. I didn't think to ask the prices but I can't afford that. Looking for a normal dr. I've been on meds for 20 years plus but looking through the reviews they all seem to be the same. Do you know of a normal doctor that will give me 10 mg methodone and 15 mg oc is what I have been on. Thanks for any help you can forward. The psychotic place of course is called Integrity erica they have none! I've had two doctors all these years and never a problem. Just trying to live my life.

I don't know about your doc here in the Phoenix area, my pain management Dr is screaming about the DEA down all the AZ doctors backs. They are afraid to write anything here in AZ. All they keep hearing is heroin this and heroin that and all the additional paperwork for insurance and others they can hardly keep up with it. Even the pharmacists have new laws that went into effect here in AZ that Gov Doug Ducey put into play as of July 15th that will make a big difference in his war on heroin here in AZ. I for one am looking into a medical marijuana card so I can just forget about all the B/S going on here. At the age of 69 I shouldn't be humiliated into having to take a U/A once a month....

In what area do you live? Unless you have pain management violations you can get 90mg of morphine MME per day. It is not a lot but it does help. One 10mg of oxycodone equals 15mg of morphine. Like I get 4 10mg oxycodone a day which equals 60mg of morphine and two ER 15mg morphine. The total is 90 MME of morphine a day. The max allowed these days.Read the CDC Guidelines. If anyone is getting more, it is just a matter of time before that doctor get harassed into writing lower doses or lose his/her license.

Hello, My PCP just told me he can't prescribe the 30mg oxycodone any longer. I have been on Dialisys for 17years and have a bone decease and scoliosis as well as degenerative disc that has caused my bones the disintegrate, 4 hip replacements, knees and my spine is about to leave me a quadriplegic it's at a 90 degree angle and causes excruciating pain when standing for more than a min or two. The main cause of all this was hyper parathyroidism, levels at 3800 when should be about 300. I can't take care of myself or my 12y son without the medication thats been making it possible to go on with my life. I'm having a lot of trouble getting anything more that 10's ,and really desperately need a higher strength, for example I've been on 150 30mg for some time. Please help me I'm willing to pay I just can't live in this kind of pain and it hurts my son seeing me like this, not able to get off my back and throw the ball or anything, if u have kids u understand. Please help me if u have any info that u think will really help me get though this day by day. Thank u an God bless.

Re: Elderly abuse (# 108) Expand Referenced Message

Try The Pain Centers of Arizona they will prescribe 10 mgs if you have a legitimate pain problem that has in the past been documented. But they don't prescribe high doses just enough to help. Right now they are helping me, of course that could change with all that is going on.

Hello. I feel his pain. I'm on AHCCCS myself on Mercy Care Plan and my back has stonisis, rediclapothy, degenerative spine disease, narrowing of my nerve pathways and a few other items such as bulging discs to fractures in my spine. I injured myself by lifting something twice my weight above my head to complete a job that I was supposed to do at work. I immediately called my boss since I could not move. The customer saw everything happen and even with her sworn testimony Workmen's Comp. blew me off. I have been granted SSDI by one of the hardest judges in Phoenix to get approval from. All pain clinics I've been to are jokes - they think your drug addicts and just want more and more. I'm 5'8" / 190 lbs. I have been on medicine since 2013 until they can figure out something to help me alleviate the pain. I have had several different treatments from steroid shots or transdermal roots leaving directions, nerve root oblations, and stimulators. I have been to many physical therapies but yet my back gets worse. They have cut my medicine to where I could not even do anything as my quality of life went to heck, until the CDC came up with the new rules on May 1st of 90 MME, which if you were on any type of oxycodone or OxyContin, times it by 1.5 and that will give you the MME you're on. They do not allow any more than 90 unless your doctor writes a letter which is a very brief letter of why you need more and your insurance company if you have any which I have access to Arizona Mercy care plan and they told me to have the doctor fill out the paperwork & to put 'urgent' on the paperwork. There are medical staff reviewing my medical charts which I've had nine MRIs now on my complete spine. I've had EMGs done and many other evaluations so they would approve it immediately to increase my levels I was taking at the time.

I was perfect at 20 mg oxycodone a day and 30 mg Oxycontin 3x a day. Yes it might sound like a lot, but if you knew what I was on before you'd think that was a joke. It would be like taking two aspirin. On May 1, 2017 the CDC got involved. The main reason why is for doctors that were prescribing medicines that were not needed for the patients because they would find them on the streets and they were getting out of hand. There were three doctors that were incarcerated about a month and a half ago for putting $33 million of illegal narcotics out on the street through some of their patients here in Phoenix. So now due to that we all have to suffer for the people that really need them. I was able to lower myself down to a manageable amount to where I would take 10 mg oxycodone's four times a day and 30 mg which I needed a third one and the doctor would not give me anymore. All the pain management clinic said was that I'm way overdoing it even though they stated it six months ago we would've given you whatever you needed. Again all they have to do is fill out simple forms to explain why your son or anybody that does really need them, why they need more than what they are getting. The doctors know all about it but they just don't want to fill out the extra paperwork. They'd have to do it every three months and it takes about 20 minutes every three months. CDC issued new recommendations for prescribing opioid medications for chronic pain, excluding cancer, palliative, and end-of-life care. LOOK IT UP AND CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. PLEASE. We all have to suffer for the people that abuse it and the doctors that abused prescribing them to patients.

Re: J2thaZ (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, my name is David. I never went seeking any medications.i have spinal stenosis and osteomyelitis. Thoracic and lumbar region. Have been prescribed oxycodone 30 mg 120 ct monthly. My doctor retired and the doctor that bought his files did no bother to look at the MRI report or the Arthritis doctors findings that were all updated in September 2016. He told me after a decade I had a habit and he would not write. I am scared because I will be unable to work and do not have insurance to find a new Doctor that may say the same thing. I have tried Effexor and NSAIDs which are found to cause strokes and heart attacks. Any suggestions?
