Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medications In Florida Along The East Coast (Page 4)

I have "Idiopathic Small Fiber Peripheral Neuropathy" and have been fighting this HORRIFFIC PAIN since Jan 24,2012 and it took till April meeting with my Neurologist (I lived in Atlanta) to have an EMG and then a Biopsy to verify my illness. Then they ran it felt like a million test over and over and I passed all so they could not find the underlying cause so it's spreading quick and PAIN is HARSH!

My Ga Family Practice WROTE ALL MY PAIN MEDS!

I needed to leave Atlanta due to the weather and I chose Ormond Beach next to Daytona BUT AS I TRY TO FIND DRS. DOWN HERE IT IS A NIGHTMARE!! Family Practice DO NOT WRITE SCRIPTS AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET IN WITH A 'Pain Mgmt' Dr. Who prob WONT WRITE YOUR SCRIPTS??

I worked up to these for two years and THERE IS NO CURE FOR MY ILLNESS BUT THESE DOSES HAD MEE GETTING UP AND STARTING TO ENJOY LIFE? PLEESE... I SEE VAGRANTS HANGING OUT AT FLAGER STORES SELLING MY SAME PILLS SO SOMEONE IN FLORIDA HAS TO BE WRITING THEM AND I NEED THEM DESPARATELY FOR MY LIFE AND PAIN!! Please HELP!!

Whoever wrote that goes to show you that you can always believe what you read on the internet. Cortisone shots are absolutely approved by the FDA. As a practicing anesthesiologist for over twenty years, I would certainly know.

Common (steroid) cortisone drugs prescribed are Solumedrol, Kenalog, Celestone Soluspan.

What's his name? I have been suffering from pain due to two lower disc problems and have been getting epidurals till I can have surgery and it's been a pain trying to get refilled on my prescriptions.

Hi, I moved to Gulf Shores Alabama from Kansas and I have chronic pain in my back that shoots down both legs. My MD always gave my pain meds. Alabama is just like Florida and I've been suffering for 2 months now. Please would your dr. friend have any advice for me? I can't drive to Kansas every month. Thank you for trying to help the lady from Georgia.

forget about pa unless philly or pitts the doctors are worse then Florida. The only way out is to not go /or get a lic. and grow poppy's

It appears you do not know what it is like to have serious chronic pain. I know what it feels like to have this level of pain. I believe she is desperate for some pain relief because you have no quality of life. I know exactly how she feels and I am "not" an addict either. I can not find a doctor in Florida either. The Florida doctors just do not seem to care about a person's quality of life because they are too concerned about the laws & they "might" have an issue.

Thank you for being so informed but I am so very sorry that you are so informed from your experience with your father. Our problem is that no one wants to stand up for the low man on the pole and that is usually the one who is seriously suffering! Prayers for your father and your family and all of us who are losing our lives due to untreated or undertreated pain! I don't want to hear that you are not alone all that says is there are many more of them like me!

Allison, Wow, I have to say it was amazing and so refreshing to hear your empathy and compassion for another chronic pain sufferer. I am in a similar situation, I've recently followed my elderly parents out here to take care of them and this is where they need to be for weather conditions...though its recently been a lot colder than we ever expected..figures. I am really desperate to find a doctor here. I'm from louisiana and have been seeing the same doctor for a couple of years with no crazy changes of dosage. I have many conditions, mostly damage in my neck causing severe pain down into my arm and fingers on the left side. other more common conditions like sciatica and degenerative disc disease and a few others, but as you know doctor's don't always care. Im a single Mom of a 14 year old son, who funny enough has been begging me to move to Canada for over a year. How do you like it? what area did you go to if you dont mind me asking. moving has been hard enough, Im not sure about changing countries! Though I will be honest enough to admit that hearing that a life where I could potentially be comfortable and somewhat out of pain..taken seriously and not treated like an addict or junkie makes a huge case for becoming a Canadian! We have not chosen our permanent residence yet due to several reasons, but one of them is that I refuse to settle in until I know that I can find a doctor near me that meets my needs. Im 44, single parent and now caregiver to my parents, who are both declining quicker than expected. I am a professional organizer, so I can usually work around my bad days, but without meds, Im pretty much useless and I just dont have that option. I've managed to continue working without applying for disability by being creative and adapting my skill sets to options that are flexible and I can cover my flare ups and bad days. Im lucky because so many others have lost their income and ways to support their family and as soon as others find out why, you become 'one of them' judged quickly as a junkie pill seeker. You know the drill. Its rare that I find someone who eloquently nailed the problems we all share as well as offer up solutions. so many just don't care. Hello I'm sorry to hear about the trouble your having I can understand the frustration! I have been on methadone for several years now and I'm having a terrible time finding new doctor but I do know that Coastal pain and spine in ormond on Granada Blvd. Prescribes oxycodone. Make sure u bring ur records as long as u have ur medical records u shld b OK.

I recently moved to Palm coast fl. I was under the care of Ranch Mirage Pain Management Located within the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage Ca. Are there any doctors that will work with me to continue my pain med program. I have been prescribed pain meds ever since I fractured my tailbone and went through a liver transplant four years ago. Pain meds have been the best way for me to a decent quality of life. The lower back pain is chronic. Can anybody inform me who to see about getting prescription pain meds in the palm coast area.

Who is this doctor? I moved to palm coast from California. I had been a pain management patient for the last three years. I can't find a doctor who will continue with my pain med program in Palm Coast. If you know of any local doctors who will prescribe pain meds please advise. {edited for privacy}. Thanks.

Please do not be judgmental to this lady. When your in pain you are desperate to find relief and maybe no one responded so she told her story again.
I live in Pensacola Florida and she is telling the truth. I had back pain and it took 3 different doctors to find out what was wrong with my back and then I had my Spinal Fusion.

I've been on hydrocodone for years (dr prescribed have a lot going on). It doesn't work that great but i'm scared to go higher. Our dr just decided last week after 3 years he's not writing any narcotic for anyone..didn't give anyone even one more month to find a dr., just stopped.. Ridiculous.. I'm in deltona and needing a good pain dr nearby.. I know this post is old but i need a good dr that will write. I don't have the money to waste trying to find one who does and the united medicaid is s***! Mine was a primary in deland, the office was stanley stockhammer and my dr was jack westfall. If anyone knows a good primary that will help and knows what he's doing please let me know. I would like to find one in volusia county. Thank you and good luck to all.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Long story short, I had a ACDF level 4 L2-S1 decompression fusion. I have adhd and have been taking meds for 15 years. I moved, my doc retired and I need to find a new doctor. I have no problem going to Atlanta. It's a drive from the Jacksonville area but IF I COULD LEAVE MYSELF IN A ROOM, WALK AWAY, I WOULD. AND MENOPAUSE. My husband and I split. I'm a different human being. I need a doctor that understands. Thanks for listening. The person you're referring to sounds like someone that would help me.
