Hi I have high anxiety I have poor appetite, my mom just died I have panic attacks my heart races..I feel like I am going to pass out and I have trouble leaving the house

Due to the new regulations set forth by the DEA last year, if you require such a medication, you'll need to see a specialist. A general practitioner won't be able to prescribe it for you, so you'll need to see a psychologist.

The FDA lists Xanax as benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
