Doctors In Nj That Prescribe Oxycodone

Help, Seeking new Doc in NJ (Middlesex/Monmouth County areas) I have been going to a pain mgmt. doctor who was giving me oxycontin ER 40mg twice a day and 10mg Percocet 4 times a day for breakthrough pain. They have cut my meds in half in the last 2 months, I have always taken meds correctly and never had a dirty UA. My levels were always good. I have bulging and herniated discs and am in a lot of pain. They are cutting everyone down on meds because of over medicating some patient etc.. (and now everyone pays). I want to find new pain doctor who will give me what I was originally taking does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for the help. please get back to me with suggestions. Hello, AC! How are you? I am sorry about the problem you've encountered.

However, I am not sure that switching doctors will do you much good. These cut downs have been happening all over the U.S., it is not just your doctor's office that is doing it. The federal government has actually put new regulations in place regarding what can be prescribed, how much can be prescribed, the reasons why and for how long it can be prescribed.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone know a good doctor in that area that might help?

The feds dont make the descision on how many you can get, that number is from the drug company that makes that particular drug,

now, in reality, the insurence company will only cover so many, mine covers 120 long acting and 120 breakthru? So thats what my dr gives me, 80 and 30, respectively.

If your dr cuts ur amount! Its not the feds, it could be your dr doesnt feel comfortable writing for you, 99 pct of the time thats why.

h is on the rise, so that means pain pts are finaly getting a break after the past two years or all the kids messing everything up.

hey my name is mike and I live in monmouth county nj. My dr just closed up shop and I've been taking pain meds for over 7 years now. My last script he wrote yesterday was for 180 30mg oxycodone, 60 200mg morphine and 90 2mg xanax. I suffer from 4 disc herniations, 2 bulging, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and arthritis of the spine. Please if you can help me out with any doctors it will be much appreciated and compensated for. I am desperate here. I know I just got my scripts but I'm freaking out! Please help!

I am a 66-year-old woman with very bad auto brightness. I take three Oxycontone 15 mg 3x a day for breakthrough and E or oxycodone 30 mg twice a day for extended . My doctor is in Pennsylvania and it's really too far from me I live in Lodi New Jersey and Clifton would be a dream . Can you please let me know the name of the doctor that you go to in Clifton . It would be greatly appreciated .

Hi. I haven't seen you posting in awhile. Any luck finding another doc? I'm way out west but moving back to central Jersey soon. Have to have a total hip replacement and man, pain? I've never had pain like this! I'm getting meds but the fluoroscopy-guided injection to hip joint is all i can wait for!!! I'm hoping you're doing better! Sounds like I'm going to have trouble when i get to jersey and im scared! Need back surgery too later in year. Feel like my bones and joints are just falling apart! Peace...

Hi. I'm so confused on these posts. Has anyone found a PM doc that will prescribe pain meds? I had fusion on my lumbar last year and was prescribed many many pain meds while I was in the hospital for 15 weeks cuz something went wrong.. came out and stayed on meds, then boom - pm (nasty nasty doc) cuts it in half (I had not abused and even took myself off hydromorphone cuz I didn't want so much stuff); now just took away all my OxyContin and reduced me to 10mg 4x daily. Then he said it will all be taken away at my next visit in 2 weeks. I am in severe pain. I have another herniated disc w/ spinal cord compression, adhesive capsulitis and the fusion surgery left me in bad pain. My Pm doc said "deal with it". Won't even prescribe Advil or Aspirin. I need a decent doc in NJ who will give me even low doses of oxy's, especially while I do physical therapy as my pain increases. He says I don't fit the criteria for pain meds... not sure if excessive chronic pain isn't a criteria, but I would think a low dose of Oxys isn't asking too much. Even 10mg -2x daily of OxyContin and 15mg x4 or even 3x daily is asking too much. He gave me a clonidine patch 0.1mg to help and I have lyrica. Even took me off diazepam 5 mg. I need a doc who will give me something for chronic pain like I said. Not a lot. I'm in my 50's - don't abuse drugs... I am an honest person looking for some relief. I have heard if u r out looking for these drugs it's a red flag that u won't get them. If I can't then i will just live in pain. But does anyone know of a doc in NJ with a little more compassion and willing to prescribe low doses? Or have any suggestions for alternative meds? - not Advil or Tylenol.. My friend lives in Ohio and has no problem getting oxys and Xanax (which I don't take). Like I said I don't take large amounts nor do I take stuff just to take it. Suggestions please. Thank you.
