Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Xanax

I am desperately seeking a psychiatrist In or near Livingston County? Brighton area. I have a long history of panic and anxiety disorders, I would just like to find a doc who won't treat me like a drug addict. This effects me daily and makes life very hard to live. I am on kolonipin now from my MD but it doess not help when I'm in a full blown attack. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Why not ask your current M.D. with whom you have a relationship. Remember, Doctor Shopping is illegal. I was told Xanax works best for Anxiety and Klonopin works best on panic attacks?

Hello, Laura! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Klonopin and Xanax are both in the same exact family of medications and treat the same things, they are benzodiazepines.

These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Why won't your current doctor let you try something else?

I have the exact same problem. I believe in quality of life more so than quantity. I am 68 years old, have had anxiety most of my life due to my childhood issues. I have been on Xanax for over 10 years and it keeps me totally calm. I do not abuse it, sell it, or do anything illegal with it. My dr. wants to take me off of it and I honestly do not think I can bear the withdrawals. Please help.
