I currently go to a pain management in Florida but I am moving at the end of next week. I am moving to Georgia and I have already made a appointment with a pain doctor in Georgia. I am seeing my Florida Doctor the day before I move. Does anyone know if these 2 doctors will find out about each other? I am not using my insurance with either of them or the pharmacy. Please only answer if you have experience or real knowledge. I don't need anyone to advise me to not do it or anything like that.

Hello, Wizzle! How are you?

The only way it would be considered doctor shopping is you got prescriptions from both and got them all filled. And, if you do that, then yes, they will all find out about it, it will also be reported to the government. Whether you pay cash or not, both the doctors and the pharmacies have to keep record of everything and it's all reported to a government database.

Is there anything else I can help with?
