I have moderate to severe Degenerative Disc Disease of Cervical Spine with severe narrowing (stenosis) along with bulging and herniated discs with severe arthritis (osteo) also in cervical spine with boney spurs. I also have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome ad Chronic Fatigue. My pain management doc has done many different procedures, non giving much relief and no long term relief. She has told me there is nothing more she can do. So, I need a Primary Care Doctor who will take over writing my Morphine and Muscle Relaxer. My current Primary Care doctor said she trusted me totally but could not write RX for opiates. I need help. I will not be able to function without some pain meds. I live in Gen Allen, a Richmond, VA suburb. Please helpp. Thank you.

There is methadone clinics which will keep you on methadone long as you like it is great for pain but I get it for addiction. I wish I could find a pain clinic to prescribe it for pain so my insurance would cover it .I'm just happy to get it and to be able to live a half normal life.

I'm a single dad 52 years old in the Tidewater Area Willing to travel to Richmond to see a doctor for pain medication. I will be paying cash, due to no Insurance.. I'm a christian man as well, professional musician, and unfortunately still in construction. Without my meds i cant work and my house will forclose on me, and my daughters and I will separate. There's a new one that opened about six months ago..?.. in Virginia. It doesn't take any insurance. I can't remember the name but go back and read threads. I read the website and they believe in using opiates when needed..not cheap but very promising for those of us in a lot of pain.

I am a disabled vet and was in the the Va hospital system and after me see by the chief surgeon at McGuire hospital in Richmond Va where I was told that the operation would be less then 40% successful by universal able and could be even worse then it is already and the recovery time would be a very long time so he denied my surgery. I was told after 6 months that opiates do not help with pain so I decided to quite ALL my pain medicates. This was a mistake as I can not get any and the pain is unreal and I would just about do any thing just have it controled by any other means if not by meds. If any body has any answers to where if possible there is help. I have considered to start drinking even though this is something that I would rather not.
I find it very hard to have been injured fighting for our country but I can not get any one to help me now. This is not a post for drugs but rather one for pain relief at any cost as to being legal. I can not keep living with the pain and the countless nights being in pain. I do hope that there are some doctors that believe in MRIS AND XRAYS and have compassion with real patients that are suffering every day and have NO WHERE else TO TURN AND THE BALANCE OF THERE so called LIFE ARE BEING TOLD HOW TO DEAL WITH BY THE GOVERNMENT. God help us

*Must be a TRUE, Chronic Pain patient (Must have MRI's & X-Rays and records documenting your condition or illness)
*Must be able to submit to and pass monthly drug panels
*This doctor does conduct random pill counts/checks
As I'm sure most of you are aware (the real, true chronic pain patients) finding a good Pain Management doctor can be harder than finding a spouse! The reason I said everything that I just did is because my doctor understands pain, truly cares and genuinely wants to help. That being said, people/patients have taken advantage of him in the past. Thankfully he was able to "weed out" the few bad apples that were in the bunch so to speak. But I don't want to see him have to go through any of that again. He doesn't deserve it. This man practically saved my life. I would love for others to benefit from him as well. As most of you are also aware, you're unable to post "direct contact" information on these threads. If you are are a legitimate pain sufferer and are in true need of help, please message me and I will try to help you to the best of my ability. This doctor works on referral ONLY so it's my name on the line if you aren't be upfront and truthful. I'm sure the true patients out there will understand where I'm coming from.

Please send me your Dr's name and address in richmond area. I suffer from chronic back pain and leg pain even after having surgery. I've been taking strong pain meds for 9 years and my currnt doctor just stopped taking inss and each visit is 250.00 dollars which i can't affort any more.

Hi, I have been on narcotic medication for about 15 years...I was on Fentanyl patches from about 2002 until 2009 and Avinza for about 5 yrs...There have been other ones but had the best success with these. I have remained on low doses....my Avinza has stayed the same 30 mg. I am graduating next month with my MBA and hope to find work. These meds have given me that same hope you spoke of. I have stayed with the same dr for years in King William VA despite moving back to Richmond to keep from being seen as doctor hopping. But now he has decided before he retires in December to have all patients off narcotics....I have tried the other treatments to no avail! I have many people in the community that will speak for my character....please help me! I need a dr who will help me be able to live a normal life....{edited for privacy}.
