Doctor In Richmond Va Who Will Prescribe Opiates For Severe Chronic Pain (Page 2)

I have moderate to severe Degenerative Disc Disease of Cervical Spine with severe narrowing (stenosis) along with bulging and herniated discs with severe arthritis (osteo) also in cervical spine with boney spurs. I also have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome ad Chronic Fatigue. My pain management doc has done many different procedures, non giving much relief and no long term relief. She has told me there is nothing more she can do. So, I need a Primary Care Doctor who will take over writing my Morphine and Muscle Relaxer. My current Primary Care doctor said she trusted me totally but could not write RX for opiates. I need help. I will not be able to function without some pain meds. I live in Gen Allen, a Richmond, VA suburb. Please helpp. Thank you.

I need to find a pain management dr .I have been on pain meds for 15 years. I have avascular necrosis. I have had 9 surgeries. My internal med dr wont prescribe them anymore. I dont know what to do, everyone I call doesn't prescribe. There has to be a doctor in the midlothian/Richmond area that can prescibe narcotics for chronic pain. Please, I beg of anyone out there, I am desparate to find a doctor. I am clean, only take what I am prescribed, and I have records showing I really need pain meds. Thanks to everyone who can help me!!!

Mic, did you find a dr? I noticed you have severe bone pain. I have avascular necrosis in my hips and long bones. I have been on pain meds for 15yrs. I was hoping if you had the name of a pain management dr who treats your severe bone pain, you would send me an email with the name. Thank you.

I am looking for a pain management dr. in richmond area also.. anyone have any suggestions..I have had 2 back surgeries, my second surgery he nicked mmy femoral artery and left me partially paralyzed in one leg and still have the back problems herniated disks disk degeneration and stenosis any help would be great

Hi...I believe she is talking about the Physical Medical Center with Dr. Bonner. When I was a patient there, they absolutely prescribed no opiates at all. If you do find a name of a doctor who does, please let me know. I have been dealing with chronic pain for years. Thanks so much.

Yeah my PC had referred me to go see Dr Bonner because my old pain management Dr. has retired a few months ago and due to guidelines she wasnt able to write scripts for PM any longer. Well when I called his office to get an appt they asked if I had my medical records and I said yes and also let them know that my PC had referred him. Then she says that he has nothing available for a few months and I can't schedule an appt now anyways because I need to send him copy of my medical records and when he gets a chance, he will look at it and then he will decide if he is willing to see you!.....? So needless to say that I am still trying to find a new pain management doctor ANYWHERE in the Richmond or surrounding areas (within a one hour drive) - So if anyone that might be reading this and u have a good pm doctor or know of one, I would be forever grateful if you send their info back to me. - my email address is {edited for privacy}.....Thank you in advance to anyone able and willing to help me. I hope everything works out for you all..

Mike , my husband and I lost our pain management doctor this month. We have been going to him for 15 years. We both are on oxycodone and methadone. We have been to 2 doctors and one wouldn't prescribe narcotics and the other one wanted 1200.00 and cut our dosage 2 /3 and wasn't interested in our health . We live north or Charlottesville and can drive to Richmond . Please share your doctors name if he/ she is accepting new patients . Thanks for your consideration .

Hello if anyone can help me, I've been in narcotics, mainly oxycodone to which my pain specialist wants to perform inj's. that I know won't work because my mother and I are exactly alike and none of that worked for her. My pain specialist is taking me off of my meds, after I told him they help me 90% of the time. Please post your recommendations for a pain doctor. I'm in desperate need.
