Hello, Channi! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects?
In the future, when in doubt, do not ever be afraid to call your doctor, poison control, or your nearest emergency services department to be sure.
As to taking this, after drinking, the main reason you are warned not to combine them, as per the U.S. NIH, is due to the fact that it may worsen the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness, which may cause each drink to feel as if you had 2, and so on.
