Same case happened with me ....doctor prescribed pan40.....medical person given pantop40..... I asked then he replied both have not much difference..
Next time he given pan40....again I asked ..he replied no difference

They both contain the same active ingredient, which is Pantoprazole, it is used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to help treat, or prevent conditions, such as nausea, GERD, ulcers, and gastritis.
The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and flatulence.
