I HAVE BEEN TAKING GENERIC ADDERALL which has always been called amphetamine salts. My last script instead of saying amphetamine salts substituted for adderall it says amphetamine salts substituted for amphetamine salt combo? What's this mean?

IMPORTANT: My cleaning lady helped herself to about #30 Ct. of my 20Mg. mixed amphetamine combos. I keep my firearms in a vault. I will now keep them in my safe.One neighbor, now deceased pilfered #200 Ct. of my D amphetamines. Do keep them locked up and bolted and welded the vaults down. KEEP YOUR MEDS locked.

Well first of all ..your getting 10 mg IR tablets. Xr is always in a capsule. Second...you are clearly abusing them if you took a ten mg tablet it would never keep you up for 20 hours ...it has a 3 hour half life lol .. so u must have taken more than 30.mg if you've been up for 20+ hours I'm a pharmacist...and a biochemical engineer, with a PhD in pharmaceutical botany as well as a PhD in mycology/ drug synthesis. If you actually had ADHD this drug would have the complete opposite effect. .it would most certainly not keep you awake for 20+ hours especially at 10 mg. And if a doctor intended you for you to take more than 10 mg they would have given you a higher mg tablet to save money for all parties involved. So I can promise you that you are clearly either abusing this medication , it is not prescribed to you or both.

Firstly, suggesting that the op is abusing the adderall because they were awake for 20 hours on 10mg is beyond stupid and idiotic. A person abusing amphetamines would feel almost nothing from that low dose and certainly not be up that long. Secondly, you have no idea what half life is or means which is why I doubt your claim about being a pharmacist. 3 hour half life means after 3 hours half of the drug has been eliminated....it does not mean the effects wear off in 3 hours. 10mg could easily keep someone up for 20 hours if they are new to amphetamines. Lastly, having ADHD does not mean that amphetamines have the opposite effect on the person that they usually do. This is a common myth and it is untrue. It is true that they may become less hyperactive and find it easier to concentrate but this does not mean it is acting as a depressant, it is still very much a stimulant in effect and this means it keeps you awake whether you have ADHD or not. So now that you know that nearly every word you posted is nonsense you can stop insulting people and trying to sound intelligent.

It all means the same thing, just different ways of stating it.
Adderall actually contains Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine, which is usually listed as mixed Amphetamine salts, so what you've seen are just different variations of the drug name.
This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache. dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia.

You need to get some sleep. I know the feeling I have found myself awake at 3am cleaning my house. I would suggest that you take your meds earlier in the day if possible. Lately I haven't been getting that 'no sleep' feeling and am wondering if they are giving me some sort of sugar pill that has no amphet. in it.

Safeguarding your controlled Rx's. It's vitally important to keep your medicine in a locked container. You are responsible for any mishaps or overdoses that occur during your medicine possession in home or elsewhere. Do not carry medicine in your car as a rule. DUI'S occur for driving on any medicine. DUI checkpoints or DRIVERS LICENSE CHECKPOINTS ARE ONE AND THE SAME.

Having a support system in place is best. It would be good if you had a reliable family member or friend who is willing to learn about your medication and withdrawal. It is extremely important that you set the pace for your taper and not feel rushed to complete it or have anyone pressure you into weaning off quicker than you’re comfortable with. You can do it.
There are many factors that play into this. An individuals personal biology, polypharmacy, ect.

I have been getting amphetamine salt from CVS unfortunately I got it from Walgreens this last time... they gave me an feta means salt combination I feel horrible it is also sweet when I take it we're as being feta means salt that's blue in a circle not an oval has a bitter taste the end feta means salt combo makes me actually tired where is the amphetamine salt from CVS I'm careful because it gives me so much energy and that's what it's supposed to do for me as well as help me with my ADHD so anyone who thinks they are crazy there is a difference you're not crazy!! Also the amphetamine salt combo makes me nauseous gives me a headache all day side effects that they say but the amphetamine salt never did that to me!!

Yup!! This is EXACTLY what happened to me with the pharmacies and everything. Walgreen's pharmacist said the different pharmaceuticals use different fillers but the active ingredient is the same that people metabolize is differently hence different people have different side effects. I was in sluggish haze with the Walgreen's MFG-TEVA maker and its called D-Amphetamine salt combo absolutely hate it. Went back to my CVS brand AUROBINDO PHARM LOVE IT!! I feel normal happy energetic like the people I used to hate lol

There is no instant release formulation, there are only regular release and time released formulations.
Does the prescription list anything on it, such as ER, XR, SR or something similar?
If so, they are time released, if not, they are regular release.
What are the markings on them? That's another way I can double check for you.

Unless its in a capsule, adderrall or any of its generic counterparts, from various manufacturers is "IR". (Adderrall is only available in two preparations: Adderrall and Adderrall XR
Adderrall XR comes strictly in a capsule formulation containing two types of beads that dissolve at different rates to release the drug twice. Adderrall XR is manufactured by Shire. There is only one "generic" XR formulation on the market- also produced by Shire (its the brand drug in different colored capsules). Most insurance formularies that cover Adderrall XR will not cover the XR generic.
Finally, generic Adderrall is expensive; You can finance many new cars for less than you'd pay for Adderrall XR. Hope this helps.
