My cardiologist has told me to no longer take Losarten, as i was having severe chest pain, and other side affects. I have been on this family of drugs for 14 yrs, and just gone onto the generic one. blisters are appearing on my face, and a rash has been on my nose since taking this one. My blood pressure went up yesterday so I took one overnight, to a blister on my nose today. What else can happen as i detox?

Okay, taking one as you feel it is needed will not do anything, this medication must be taken regularly for about 4 to 5 weeks, in order for it have any significant effect on your blood pressure, or any cardiac condition. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. It has also been known to cause the issues you've experienced, just not as often.

Did your doctor switch you to a different medication? How high was your blood pressure?
