Darvocet In Drug Screen

I was just informed that my random drug screen at work came back positive for propoxyphene (Darvocet). I was taking percocet because i had just had a miscarraige and was also given demerol and phenergan in the er during miscarraige. My work is aware that I had been taking those drugs but they did not show up in urine screen only the darvocet. Could the percocet show up as darvacet by mistake? Why would a drug I have never taken show up while the ones I was on and have prescriptions for did not? please help.

This has been occuring a lot recently. It seems that some of the inexpensive tests are registering the type of drugs incorrectly.

Many people who are on Suboxone have had theirs register Oxycodone when they have never taken it, or vice versa.

Have you asked them to re-run the test?

Both the Propoxyphene in Darvocet and the Oxycodone in Percocet are narcotics, so they are related and it is possible for a test to have an error in reading them.
