Daily Drug Intake Limit Way Too Low, I Was Fully Fuctional For 10 Years On Same Amount Of Medications (increaseinwinters)-1 More 5mg Diaz (Top voted first)
UpdatedHello, fellow Chronic Pain Patients / Sufferers. I suffer from SPINAL STENOSIS, L1-L2, L2-L3 FACET JOINT ARTHRITIS, SCIATICA, Knee Arthritis w/ a torn ACL and MENISCUS Damage (recently diagnosed). I also have severe hip problems along with arthritis.FACET JOINT ARTHRITIS..
THIS NEW "MEDICAL OPIOID DAILY LIMIT OF 120MG" IS A Complete Farse and a joke. Plus, Any RATIONAL PERSON with a brain will soon realize that suicides, black-market drugs, WHO HAS suffered from chronic pain for more than 6 months, will realize that this JUST will not work,,, I mean - The guidelines are telling me a 105 pound woman can have the same amount of opioids per day as a 240 pound body-builder in a 24 hour period..... THIS CASE IS A "SLAM DUNK"!
It does not take a brain specialist TO REALIZE THAT THIS "SOCIAL-MEDICAL EXPERIMENT" will not do anything good for anyone. Accept for maybe the Drug Companies...

Since January,2014 my "Pain Control Doctor" - SEEMS LIKE A OXYMORON NOW, has reduced my medications by over 60%. For most people who don't have Chronic Pain- My Mediation Amounts may seem to be a lot- but remember I've been battling this disease for 18+years. Here is a list of Medications and amounts when "things were green". 1/2014 . VIP !!! ......I HAVE KEPT THE SAME MED LEVELS FOR 6 YEARS..... I DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL, SMOKE MARIJUANA, OR DO ANY OTHER ILLEGAL DRUGS.
1. HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE COMPOUNDED 40 MG CR CAPSULES-5/DAY
2. MSIR(Morphine Sulphate Immediate Release)30 MG TABS- 5/DAY
3. DIAZEPAM 5mg - 5-6 per day.
MY CURRENT DOSAGES:
1. HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE COMPOUND 40 MG CR CAPS- ONLY 3-DAY !
2. MSIR 15 MG - YES 3- 15 MG TABS PER DAY. THAT IS A 68% DECREASE !!!!
3. DIAZEPAM 5 MG : 3 PER DAY
NOW, IF A DOCTOR WERE TO DECREASE A DIABETES PATIENTS MEDICATIONS BY THE SAME PERCENTAGES... HE/SE WOULD LOOSE THEIR LICENSE.
Hi Scott,
I'm very sorry to hear about your conditions. I too feel that daily limits on opioids should only be determined by one's doctor and not based on a "social experiment" of some sort by the DEA and drug companies, since everyone is clearly different in that regard; especially when it comes to chronic debilitating pain!
A sudden 68% decrease in pain meds for someone facing such conditions is very unethical in my opinion as well… But when big pharma is in control of how much you can take, what else do you resort to? Is it worth moving out of the country? Or do you hang out on the streets searching for dealers? I see the dilemma that most pain patients are now being subjected to and it is anything but fair for those who wish to do things legally. I pray that all those in this battle are able to find some kind of relief and I wish you well!
