Cvs Denied 2 Day Early Refilling On Zanax In Fl

Why is the pharmacists at 1 cvs telling me they have a new SYSTEM in place that will not allow me to fill my zanax rx until the day before due date. They other cvs,at my friends place 69 mikes,away said they would
I've been lied to so much by pharmacy workers and at 57 I'm beginning g to fill like a criminal
Tiday us the 3rd I was picking if up on the 4th, she said not until the 5th
Cvs needs to understand if it's ok at one it's should be ok 69 mikes,away
I do nit want to go thru zanax withdrawal. ..you can die
Any advice welcomed

Hello, Juce! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

However, this is standard at most pharmacies throughout the U.S., since this is a controlled substance. They aren't supposed to let you pick it up early.

But, you shouldn't be running out, if you were prescribed a 30 day supply.

The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

If you do run out and experience withdrawals, your local ER should be able to help you.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

I just filled a prescription at Rite Aid 2 days early (the same Rite Aid that was really pissed at me for filling a 3 months supply at the 2 month mark once about 7 years ago) and last month filled it 2 days early as well, which is an extra 4 day supply to add to a 2 year spare supply. Florida has changed after a lot of pill abuse, one guy bit off some homeless guys face in Miami, and there is even a new designer drug being sold in Florida that just made the news this week. I did have a now closed K-Mart send me away once with that 2 day its too early thing and that was 10 years ago.

Yes, my advice is quit using CVS and use a mom n pop pharmacy

That's the greatest advice i've ever seen posted on this site. Difficult as it is to find, a personal relationship with these owners and or staff can really save folks LOTS OF SUFFERING....Sad but true.

P.S. WALGREEN AND CVS SUCK!!!

Juce you are fortunately/unfortunately not close to being alone!! It's a HUGE problem. The pharmacists call themselves "activists" who must control the flood of drugs being cranked out. With NO knowledge of my conditions, my diagnoses, my injuries, and my system failures that leave me in protracted pain.

Omg so true. Only vaca of the year and won't fill although my STATE insurance will cover. Can afford to come back or pay cash in another state

My advice, if you take Xanax don't ever run out. Look at all the people dying over Opioids these days
