Crushing Suboxone For Supervised Consumption

in jersey we have people trying to take their pills out of the chemist to sell. the drug service are now crushing tablets before they go under the persons tongue. Do they still wotk as effectively as some seeps into saliva which gets swallowed? would appreciate advice. thanx

Yes, they still receive the full dosage of the Buprenorphine, it works the same as letting it dissolve or swallowing it.


This is only dangerous or prohibitive if it is a time release medication or something that you can't do this with, because the added ingredient neutralizes the narcotic, such as with Suboxone.
