Could These Symptoms Be Side Effect Of Ramipril

I want to know if my partners symptoms could be caused by ramipril. For the past few days he's had sickness, dizzy spells, passing out, he seems anxious about things and very short tempered, he sleeps all the time but is permanently exhausted, loss of appetite, strange dreams. It started boxing day. We went to his gp but he dismissed the cause was due to the drug and suggested stress. We asked if we should come on our holiday and the gp advised we did and to continue to take his ramipril. We've spent the whole week in our room and are just wanting to come home. I'm so worried about him and I don't know what to do for the best. Should he keep talking ramipril, which he was prescribed for high blood pressure, or stop to see if his symptoms improve.

Hello, 53 years old, I have been on Ramipril since a year.,5mg I also take 5mg of Bisopropol (metablocant). Six months ago I increased Ramipril to 10mg, and started to have strong neck aches, a general feeling like fever, and once a week or so feeling nausea and panic attacks. Plus pain in joints....My moral was really hurt, On my own initiative I stopped Ramipril and immediately my symptoms disappeared. Since 2 weeks I feel much better. I take only the metablcant and my BP is around 129/85 which is fine. This is of course just to share with you a personal experience but you may want to discuss with your practician before totally stopping....but ttry to stop a day or two and you will already see.... Jo, I had a mild heart attack in December and was also diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was prescribed a number of drugs including ramipril. After about six weeks ago I started feeling extremely tired, constant dizzy spells and generally feeling unwell. My GP has reduced the dose of ramipril recently but still feeling the same. How did your partner get on?
