They are both Benzodiazepines and, as listed by the FDA, are most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. They carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

The dosing of the ones you mentioned are equivalent, you need 1mg of Clonazepam for each 2mgs of Lorazepam.
