Cipralex/escitalopram/lexapro = Tinnitus

Hello.
I had to take escitalopram for my bipolar disorder. The ringing in my ears started right away. I only took 20mg total over the course of 4 days and stopped, been off it 3 days now and the ringing is still going strong. I am very afraid that this will be permanent. I never had ear problems before.

I was taking Trintillex antidepressant. 7 weeks started to hear higher tones tinnitus which l have already. Antidepressants just made it worse but luckily it stopped. It may take a bit longer best advice get this out of your system if your able to. Possibly try switching antidepressants it seems like finding the right antidepressants are hit and miss. Everyone's different Good .Luck. Stay positive!
