If you require these types of medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, then due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll have to see a pain management specialist.
Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, getting them to refer you to someone is usually the easiest way to get in with a specialist to get the help you need.
Does anyone know of a good doctor in the area?
