Have been off acetaminophen with codeine for 24 hours. Can I safely switch to naproxen sodium 220 mg?

You can, if you've been instructed to do so by your medical provider, but you should be away that it is not going to help you pain as much, since the Naproxen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

Is there anything else I can help with?
