Hello, Nancy! How are you?
Since this cream contains a corticosteroid, I'd advise staying away from it.
Generally, for a new tattoo, you are advised to just use an antibiotic ointment. The FDA lists the typical side effects of them as possibly including skin redness, irritation and itching.
Is there anything else I can help with?
