Can I take a norco and Tylenol 3 at the same time I am passing kidney stones and in pain very bad pain!!

I would take one than if pain is still there take the other 30 mins later. Than if that isn’t working take the first one in 30 mins. That don’t work the doctor needs to give you something stronger.

I took two Tylenol 3... Is it safe to take norco 5/325 6 hours after, or should I wait 8 hours? The Tylenol 3 isn't effective at all for me. I want to take 2 norco (which works for me) but am thinking I'll take a 600mg ibuprofen with a Norco instead. All are prescribed from my oral surgeon. Is this all safe? Thanks!

No, you shouldn't combine them, that could cause you to ingest a toxic amount of Acetaminophen, since it's in both of these medications.

Too much Acetaminophen could cause liver damage or liver failure and an overdose has the potential to be fatal.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Additionally, you'd be doubling up on narcotics, since the Tylenol 3 contains Codeine and the Norco contains Hydrocodone. They can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which could cause shallow breathing, lowered heart rate and lowered blood pressure, so an overdose of them could also be fatal.

If your current medication isn't handling the pain, you should contact your doctor, so they can change your dosage or prescribe something else.
