Can Both Be Taken Together Suboxone And Bactrim

Im on suboxone and being treated for an infection with batrim. Will both still work properly or cancel each other out?

I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but it's always best to double check. But it should be fine, unless your doctor has some concern.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Bactrim as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Suboxone is an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Yes they can be taken together. Like the other post said bactrim will eat up your stomach pretty bad so take with a glass of milk or food

Do you have any good ideas on the best way to get off of suboxone? I was addicted to opiates for about a year and have now been on suboxone for five years. I take half of a half of the 8/2 films. I was told I should try to skip a day and then after a few weeks skip two days. Any advice?

The only antibiotic that we were warned against whether you be on Suboxone or methadone is Cipro.

well they've only studied 11 people, but side effects were many (possible) different with length of time, my favorite is 1-6 months, can make oral contraceptives ineffective, then kill the baby. but the bactrim is a mixed antibiotic, so get whatever is oozing cured, then go back to your synthetic opiates. take a bath, brush your toof, and keep your legs closed for a couple days. and rest, outside of the bar.

It actually isn't that bad coming off of it when you've only been taking a half of a half like that I had been on them for 5 years also just skip a day or two until you start feeling the worse then take a piece only if u absolutely have to... wing yourself off of it :)

You can get a prescription for 2/.05 mg strips. Then do a comfortable weening process. I’m almost done with the same thing myself, down to 1mg. It gets easier the lower you get.

No Bactrim will not cancel out the Suboxone. I have been on Suboxone and taken bactrim for Staphylococcus infection.
