What has your doctor advised?

When and how long are the occasions when it's too high?

It is perfectly normal for your blood pressure to fluctuate throughout the day and to be elevated at certain times, the only time this would be considered dangerous is if its going extremely high, such as 220+/130+, or if it is hitting elevated levels and staying there for long periods of time.

If the elevations are due to the natural fluctuations that occur throughout the day, such as from exercise, activity, or such things as smoking, then it likely isn't staying up and wouldn't require additional medications to be added.

That's why you really should consult your doctor, before trying to adjust any medications on your own.

Just as an example, though you may not be a smoker and this may not apply to you....

If someone smokes, it can elevate their blood pressure by 10 or more points, for at least an hour after smoking and the effect is cumulative, so if they chain smoke, the point raise and length of time it is raised would be even higher. However, when they aren't smoking, their levels may be normal and adding another medication may cause their levels to drop dangerously low.

The same is true of other occasions, such as when exercising, where you would see elevated blood pressure, or with anxiety, stress and etc. So how high its going, when its raising and why its raising all have to be taken under consideration.

There are no interactions listed between Bystolic and Lisinopril, but as I said, you need to make sure to consult your doctor to be certain about what you should do.
