Yes, they do expire. They don't get dangerous, per se, but they do begin to lose effectiveness with time, especially when exposed to the elements that can cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture. Thus, it would be best to dispose of it properly.
This tablet is listed in the prescription drug identification databases as containing 30mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
