Bystolic And Enforge Contraindications

Should I be taking a beta blocker i.e. Bystolic and a calcium channel blocker "Enforge i.e. amlodipine together , have a nasty cough, lightheadedness/dizzy, swelling all over and stiffness/pain in joints

Yes, they are often prescribed together to help bring someone's blood pressure down as fast and safely, as possible. They tend to work synergistically, to help lower it more than just one medication might.

As listed by the FDA, the dizziness can be a typical side effect, along with nausea, drowsiness, headache and dry mouth.

They can also sometimes cause edema, which may explain the swelling and joint issues, you may need to be put on a diuretic, as well.

As to the cough, usually once that starts, it doesn't go away and the person needs to switch to a different medication. So, it would be best to speak to your doctor, so they can determine which one is causing it and switch you off it.
