Buprenorphine,acid & Water Retention & Dehydration.

Hi,yet another newbie here, hoping i can get some advice on buprenorphine & acid in the urinary tract.Sounds strange but for the last two years whilst being on (bups) I've had terrible pain & have also been suffering from dehydration.I have had bloods & all sorts but my Doctor,(who does not prescribe) bups & indeed is hard pushed to give me anything else,hasn't found anything wrong with me,which is exactly what he intended. Has anyone been on( bups) for over 10 years & if so what if any are the problems apart from addiction caused from long term use of 12mgs. Every night I go to bed I wake at least 4 times for a pee as I'm in incredible pain & when my pee sits anywhere in my body it's agonising.It is actually feels worse than withdrawal as nobody has been helping me & I don't know how to stop it.I have also lost all muscle rapidly & am full of water retention. Please advise. Thankyou in anticipation. I did wonder if I could have Kidney stones but surely my Doctor would know that,wouldn't he?

No, your doctor would not know if you had kidney stones, to be seen, they require a CT scan and, if you're dehydrated frequently, then it's highly possible that's what's wrong. Have you considered consulting a urologist?

I had one a couple of years ago, due to repeated dehydration and the symptoms are like what you've described.

The FDA classifies Buprenorphine as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
