I have sjogrens and have extremely dry mouth. For the past 2years my doctor has had me drink pilocarpine opthalmic eye drops mixed with water. I has not worked at all. My teeth are starting to decay. I searched the net and found salagen. I went to another dr and got my 1st script of salagen today. Directions are 5mg 4 x day. I looked at some user reviews and some had terrible side effects. I also use biotene. I have to do something, I chock on my food and sometimes can't talk because my mouth is so dry. I know there is a newer drug but I don't have insurance. Any info would be extremely helpful.

If I were to suggest anything that may be of help to you in the long run, it would be to detox your body and boost your immune system, by eating primarily fresh fruits and vegetables (juicing in particular would also be highly recommend if possible). Not only should this help with dehydration, but eating more raw foods could also aid in getting rid of Sjogren's syndrome altogether.

Don't let anyone tell you that it's incurable and can only be "treated" with prescription drugs. Both, Diabetes as well as Cancer patients have taken this natural approach and proved doctors wrong. In my opinion, prescriptions just create long term customers (which is what every company wants right?), so why not just get rid of the disease and stop tending to it? Results don't always happen overnight, but I earnestly believe if you took a die hard approach to this, you'd begin to see improvements in very little time at all.
