Autistic Wife With Debilitating Anxiety Needs Dr In Sacramento Ca That Will Prescribe Xanax

The anxiety my wife suffers from her autism keeps her from living a normal life. It is so hard to watch her suffer, every noise hurts her, she cant leave the house almost ever and is in bed to several weeks a month, in our bedroom with the door shut and the lights off. She also suffers from panick attacks as a result, I found her curled up under the counter the other night. She trys so hard every minute of every day to use the techniques she has learned and practiced through therepy and research. She has put thousands of hours into research on autism in addition to therepy. She has found cognative behavioral therepy to be the best so far, atleast her version of it. We moved from Alabama just over a year ago to the Sacramento CA area, it is very difficult to get her to go to the Dr. We have been unable to get a Dr to prescribe her Xanax, instead they give her medicines she already tried for weeks to over a month that had no effect what so ever. Dr offices and DR s in general are very difficult for people who are autisic, the noise etc. My wife got up the courage to go to the DR twice so far, both times were a total disaster. First, they misdiagnose her with all kinds of stuff she doesnt have. My wife was diagnosed as a child, then while in Alabama she went though over a year of testing every non addictive medicine out there in an attempt to get her anxiety to a level where she can leave the house, talk to family and friends, work a little etc. Unfortunatly after trying every spectrum of medicine out there we found that the only thing that helps her is Xanax. We do not drink or do drugs of any kind so we do not take taking something like xanax lightly, my wife being a literal genius extreemely detail oriented understands the medication down to the chemical level, she understands its dangers side effects etc., it was and is the last resort. We went to an urgent care last week that prescribed her with what we thought at the time was a months worth. Her previous dr prescribed 3, 2mg xanax daily, the immediate care dr gave her 15, 1mg tablets. So basically it only gave her a few days worth. That tablets it has been over a year since she had any medicine. She was able to go buy a dress, and we were able to go out to dinner. It had been months, She now has four of 15 he prescribed, and will not go back to get more because she has to save the pills she has for an emergency. Like her dad is dying and she has to go to the hospital. It breaks my heart to watch her suffer we have a happy marriage considering and do our best to cope. We need a dr who will prescribe her what she needs, preferably on with a basic understanding of autism. We dont have insurance and pay by cash or credit card I have actually had dr not see us and tell us that makes us a big risk. Please if anyone out there can knows of a friendly dr. She has been to several autism specialists over the years and done multiple programs, they all want to start over again like the last one didnt know what they were doing which puts her through literal torture trying medications she has already tried and techniques she already uses. She is constantly researching autism and anxiety techniques and re-trying ones she has done before. Most DR s dont understand that she is a genius that doesnt leave the house and autism is almost a form of ocd, so she is almost always smarter than and knows more than the drs. She needs someone who will keep it simple and give her the medicine she needs.

There is online support and medicine is a possibility but your best bet for controlled meds is to get them in an office setting

Good morning, I no longer see Dr. Knoblich. I now see a Dr. Tubis at Fair Oaks Psychiatric Associates - Phone: 916-486-7555. They should be much lower in costs and they accept insurance.
Do u still HAVE that Dr. Who seems to specialize in ANXIETY? DR. KNOBLICH?
Because he doesn't take insurance and its $100 down payment and I think $300 for the first visit correct? Then they charge $95 for the next month visit from there. Because I saw your post so I saw that info and I called the office so that's what they told me period usually doctors that are charging cash for their business like you said gave you 60 Xanax 60 Klonopin + 30 Temazepam 30mg. So basically I really need about a hundred and twenty Xanax but if he decided to write me scripts for 60 Xanax and 60 Klonopin that would be okay I guess? I've been taking Xanax for the past 20 years and also I've been taking Klonopin on and off over the years. But I'm a recovering where they thought I was going to die stage 4 cancer patient. I've had lots of things removed 16 tumors and most of my liver or my gallbladder just among a few of my things pretty tough. So the question I have for you is this doctor very compassionate and older? And are you still seeing him or how long have you seen him like when was the last time that you saw him? Please get back to me ASAP I really appreciate it!
I was treated by a Dr.Peter Knoblich,he has offices in Roseville,Folsom.He wrote 60 2mg Zanaz for acute insomnia and panic attacks,he also at the same time wrote out Klonopin 2mg 30qty AND 60 Restorill 30mg's.He is good doctor who will try to help you.Best of luck:}
Hi, Thomas! I am very sorry about the problems that you and your wife have been having.
The fact that you pay cash is probably what's causing the biggest problem. It makes it much easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop to get more medications than they should and is a very common tactic used by drug seekers, so doctors are actually taught to watch out for that from anyone paying cash and seeking a specific medication of this type.
She really needs to find a good doctor that she can stick with.
My idea would be to contact the hospitals in your area and ask if they have a social work department. The people there often keep lists of good doctors and resources just to help people like your wife, so they can get the medical assistance they need.
Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area that they can recommend?
