Hi darren,

I wish I was there to have a look at your kitchen counter, as I have done a wealth of research in this particular field of study. Generally, nutritional supplements such as Vitamins/Minerals are only taken if you don't get enough in your typical day-to-day diet.

Many processed foods like bread and canned goods are already fortified with vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. However I wouldn't recommend getting your nutrients in this manner either.

In my opinion the best way to get what exactly what your body needs is to go about eating more fresh raw fruits, vegetables, seeds & nuts. Nature seems to provide everything you need in there at just the right doses for your body.

The only problem I see with most dietary supplements and fortified nutrients is that they are stripped from all other synergistic compounds found in their whole food source; meaning that you are essentially getting a car without the wheels, per say. Even if the car did have wheels, it wouldn't necessarily have the best gas if you're feeding your body things that aren't living.

I know this might sound confusing at first, but what I'm really getting at is straying away from most of the packaged stuff and living not solely, but "primarily" off of fresh produce to get what your body needs.

Does anyone else have input on this to share? :)
