Alternative To Lexamil

I used lexamil 10mg now for 2 years i have gained weight, inzomnia and Iam constant tired. I have treid now for two months to wean myself off leximal taking only 5mg. I have stop taking them now and have developed ataxia like symptoms.
for how long will this last

Hi. I was on cillift 20mg after my boyfriend passed away in 2012. I tried going off it cold turkey last year as i gained so much weight. But i couldnt handel the withdrawl symptoms(shock waves going through my brain, anxiety) i went onto lexamil 10 mg and 2 months ago i went cold turkey again. I experienced the same withdrawls like i dit with cillift but not as bad. I was just tired all the time. But i stuck it out. And i am feeling my old self again. Although i get teary emotional sometimes. I did however pick up weight after leaving lexamil. Will my weight balance out and go back to normal again and is it normal to gain weight after leaving the meds

How long ago did you stop taking them? Most withdrawal symptoms last about a month, or so, until your body gets used to no longer having the medication. However, if it worsens or continues, you should consult your doctor to be sure about what's going on.

Hannet, most people gain weight while on the medications and lose weight, when they stop taking them.

Has anything else changed in your routine, recently? Are you on any other medications? Are you eating more, since you stopped taking it?
