Alprazolam Dava Xanax Side Effects

I have been taking alprazolam under different generic name brands. I have now been given the Dava manufacturing brand and have been getting a swollen tongue, mouth, and throat. Could I be an allergic reaction to this brand?

Yes, it sounds like you may be allergic to something in these ones. Have you consulted your doctor?

You need to stop taking it and see them, as soon as possible, to confirm what is going on and discover your treatment options, if any are necessary. Allergic reactions like this can continue to get worse and may put your life in danger, if your throat is swelling.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

I have been getting dava brand. 5 and they are doing nothing I have never had this problem before besidess the Walmart brand that start with a price I can't remember the whole name but I don't have much of a tolerance and I can take 20. 5s and have no effect on dava what's the problem

Same has happened to me. I've been prescribed 2mg alprazolam (1 mg times two per day) generics for 12 years and this is the first time I've had a bad reaction. I've had 5-6 different generics but these are different and really make me sick.

- I would like to first say the person that says to not take anymore of your medication is not correct because you could have a very terrible reaction from benzo withdrawal (example being your doctor is closed over the weekend as mine is.) Sad, we pay for our expensive health insurance to cover these horrible generic medications and somebody has to do something and speak up.

You should never just quit any medication and have to trust your pharmacist gave you the correct medicine until you can get to the doctor and switch the generic. If you're having a real big allergic reaction go straight to the emergency room and explain, don't just quit taking them!

Even us that have smaller doses than others, our bodies require the active ingredient especially after years and quitting benzodiazepines without doctor is dangerous and can cause seizures.

Generic alprazolam by Dava Pharmaceutical: They are ineffective - green colored oval pill scored on front s|902, back is not scored.

- you have to take double the amount to conquer the anxiety and still it takes about two hours to deliver the ingredient. These are so awful I scheduled an appointment with my psychiatrist early to speak to him about it and now have to start calling pharmacies to see who does not carry Dava brand. I am on such a low dose I can't believe that 20% of the active ingredients more or less is affecting me this badly (my heart goes out to you). These were purchased from a Publix pharmacy in northeast Florida and are making me sick. Monday I'll have to feel badly about myself again and start calling pharmacies.

The medicines were prescribed are making us sick instead of treating the anxiety.

I guess they thought we wouldn't notice. I would like to file a formal complaint online and I'm not sure how to do this but will keep looking.
